THE PHOTO CONTINUUM WELCOMES
NEW MEMBERS!

David Burbach

Dave StepsThe March 2009 Guest Artist for the Photo Continuum, Dave's work over the last 25 years has involved a number of different tools and techniques in search of beautiful, moving images.  Introduced to the platinum/palladium process for the first time 15 years ago, he became reacquainted with the process again recently and fell in love with the results. Please visit this link to see more of his work.

Craig Alan Huber

Huber Fountain Showers FoamCraig's work,  on display on the Photo Continuum website since September of this year, delves into the concept of time and how it can be portrayed as a dimension in visual art. "While our eyes see 'the instant' or many instants in a virtual continuum, the camera can see a time slice 1 ten-millionth of a second, or many hours. How else would we be able to 'see' such visions from the ephemeral to the protracted?"

Steve Raines

Steve Erin's BraidsYou saw Steve's images earlier when he was our Guest Artist in July of this year.  His 8x10 contact prints reflect small towns and rural environments, their traditional past, their transitional economies, and their relationship with nature. "I try to photograph what gives a sense of hometown by working with architecture, civil monuments and parks, and the beauty and solace of the nearby natural landscape." Michael Van Buskirk

Michael woman on bridge 07Our Guest Artist for May 2009, Michael joins the Photo Continuum as a regular member. His platinum/palladium prints begin as pinhole exposures of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes combining nostalgia and contemporary environments.  His landscapes in the Pacific Northwest are balanced by urban photography in Manhattan and other major cities. Please check the Main Gallery for more of his work.
