Traditions

I spent many hours in a Japanese garden photographing and enjoying the craftsmanship that makes a successful garden. The meticulous planning and grooming of the basic elements of a garden combine here to provide a quiet place to get in touch with the calm of nature and of the past. All of these images were taken in the Japanese Garden in Portland, Oregon.
